Kearney Frantsen Tributes
At the North American LCJE conference in San Francisco in March
we heard that Kearney Frantsen was seriously ill. Soon after came the
message that he had died. Kearney was coordinator for LCJE North America in the period 1991-1995. We have received the following tributes to Kearney Frantsen.
I have fond memories of Kearney Frantsen as someone who was a gentle man with a gentle spirit. He had a burden in his heart for the salvation of the Jewish people. He had no desire to engage in any debate but always looked for a way to make peace. It was always good to have such a man in the midst of so many Messianic Jews who continued their own Jewish traditions of continuous argumentation. I will miss seeing him at the next LCJE conference. Dr. Arnold G. Fruchtenbaum, Director In my life, Kearney Frantsen was a big Christian. He gave me the sense that he was generous: giving and forgiving. His personal integrity helped others believe in personal evangelism. His diligence and personal godliness restored the Zion Society for Israel and Good News for Israel became a viable ministry under his leadership. In the field of Jewish evangelism he'll be remembered as being a man who loved Jews because he loved Jesus, and as a man who was able to show that love effectively. Moishe Rosen, Founding Director, Jews for Jesus I was often encouraged by Kearney in my life as a Jewish believer and in my work as a missionary to our people. Kearney had an ability to beam God's love through his smile and was always there to give a kind word and some good advice if needed. He was a picture of Messiah-like graciousness and was always filled enthusiasm for the Lord and for reaching the Jewish people. I will miss him. Mitch Glaser, Chosen People Ministries Kearney was one of my greatest mentors and one of the most loving and genuine servants of God I've ever had the privilege of knowing. Kearney manifested more of Yeshua than hardly anyone else I've ever known. Jeff Kipp Kearney was a gentle, pastoral leader, always polite and thoughtful toward others. His love for the Jewish people and his desire to use all of his energies to bring the Gospel to them was unwavering and faithful to the end. He will be missed by all of us in LCJE.
